Itinerary
Your aerial adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your Luxor hotel or Nile cruise (typically between 4:00-5:00 AM, depending on season). You'll be transferred to the West Bank launch site where you'll meet your pilot and crew, enjoy a light refreshment, and watch as the balloons are inflated in the pre-dawn light. After a comprehensive safety briefing, you'll board the basket and gently lift off just as the first hints of sunrise paint the eastern horizon. Over the next 45-60 minutes, you'll float peacefully at varying altitudes—sometimes drifting low over farming villages were locals' wave from below, sometimes rising high for panoramic views stretching from the Nile to the desert cliffs. Your pilot will point out key landmarks: the sprawling Temple of Karnak complex, the precise grid of the Valley of the Kings, the terraces of Hatshepsut's Temple carved into the mountainside, and the meandering Nile dividing the East and West Banks. The flight concludes with a smooth landing (often celebrated with a traditional "splash" of champagne or juice) followed by the presentation of a flight certificate. You'll then be returned to your accommodation by approximately 8:00 AM, with the entire magical morning completed before most daily tours even begin.
